ILSOYADVISOR POST
ILSoyAdvisor Better Beans Series Returns
The Illinois Soybean Association is excited to welcome the return of the Better Beans Series, which will be hosted in-person this month.
The Better Beans event series brings local soybean knowledge specific to farmers’ regions, offering up the chance to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and conditions affecting them directly. Participants will receive agronomy insights for their soil, planting tips for their regional weather, and much more.
These regional events will take place:
- January 20 in Sycamore, IL
- January 27 in Decatur, IL
- February 10 in Mt. Vernon, IL
At the Sycamore event, attendees will hear about topics ranging from soil health and water quality and utilizing data collection for better accuracy, to environmental impacts on specific soybean diseases.
The Decatur event will offer a conversation on how to manage for higher yields and discuss holistic water management solutions. The Better Beans event in the morning will be followed by a tax workshop with KCoe ISOM in the afternoon.
Finally, the Mt. Vernon event will provide an Illinois research update on soybean stem insect pests and diseases, cover what not to “weed out” when input costs are high, and keys for 100+ bushel wheat yield and 50+ bushel double crops.
