Dan Arkels, soybean farmer from Peru, Illinois, was the first to verified 100-plus bushel soybean producer in Illinois. This season, he planted beans on April 18 with a longer maturity group – and he’s aiming for 150 bushel beans in his Yield Challenge plot.
